Place bouquets immediately
in fresh water and mix with flower food provided.
Make sure there are no leaves sitting below the
water line, as they will release harmful bacteria,
which kills flowers. Clean your vase and use fresh
water every second day. |
 |
To maintain the look
of your flowers, repeat the process two or three
days later, removing any wilting or dead flower
heads so that the water supply is sent to the flowers
still blooming or, in the case of multi-headed varieties,
still to open. Re-cut stems on an angle and place
in fresh water. |
 |
Keep flowers in a
cool spot away from direct sunlight, heating or
cooling or appliances that give off heat. Most flowers
will last longer under cool conditions. |
 |
Gerberas don't like
lots of water as they have delicate stems, so only
use 3-4 inches of fresh water. |
 |
For native or wild
flowers add a teaspoon of bleach. This will help
prevent bacteria from developing. |
 |
If roses wilt, re-cut
their stems on a sharp angle under water. |
 |
For arrangements, fill up with fresh water on
arrival and top up daily.

We
hope you enjoy your flowers!
